Who We Are The Chicago Food Security Collaborative brings together leaders from diverse communities to tackle food insecurity at its roots. By working collectively, we aim to address the interconnected issues that perpetuate hunger, poverty, and systemic inequities in our city.
Why We Exist Food insecurity isn't just about hunger—it's about access to opportunity. Families in marginalized communities face barriers that extend far beyond the dinner table. From finding stable jobs and navigating government programs to accessing education and mental health resources, these challenges are deeply interconnected. Solving food insecurity means addressing these systemic issues head-on.
